| Notes | Divided into 3 sections, the book gradually and convincingly takes a plunge into the troubled times of partition. It is about the agony of kanshi ram and others of Sialkot in Pakistan. After the annouyncement of partition they lost hope and started leaving for the promised land - India. There they were treated aliens. It deconstructs nation, nationality and religious affinity. The plot and characterisation are convincing |
